The Episcopal Church

Year: 2025
Role: Product & UX Consultant
Tools: Stakeholder Interviews, UX Audit, Technical Feasibility Planning

Overview

The Episcopal Church’s internal legislative system was outdated, cost-prohibitive, and used by fewer than 15 staff members — yet carried a monthly infrastructure cost of over $17,000. I was brought in to assess whether the platform could be rebuilt more affordably, and how the user experience could be modernized.

What I Did

  • Conducted a full technical and UX audit of the existing legislative platform

  • Met with internal stakeholders to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and unmet needs

  • Created a detailed plan to rebuild the system in 18 months with a $250,000 budget

  • Outlined clear opportunities to reduce infrastructure costs by over 90% through system consolidation and modern tooling

Why It Matters

This project highlights my ability to evaluate legacy enterprise tools and develop cost-effective, user-centered plans for modernization — even in complex, institutional environments.
