Overview

Ascend is a secure, invitation-only communication and fundraising platform for churches — built to replace fragmented tools like WhatsApp, Mailchimp, and printed bulletins with one unified hub. It offers features like event coordination, volunteer calls, support groups, donation campaigns, and care alerts — all designed to strengthen church community life.

What I Did

• Developed the product vision and feature set through research with pastors, church staff, and congregants

• Designed the end-to-end user experience for both staff and attendees, including mobile-first interfaces and onboarding flows

• Created a business model and pitch deck for church leadership and investors

• Positioned Ascend as a privacy-first alternative to mainstream platforms, tailored to the needs of faith communities

Why It Matters

Ascend shows my ability to identify underserved markets, build product concepts from zero, and design software that solves real-world communication problems for non-tech-savvy users.
