How does the app work?

Memento Mori helps you visualize your remaining time and track habits that influence your life expectancy. You enter your basic information and daily habits. The app calculates an estimate of your remaining time and updates it dynamically as your habits change.

Why did my life expectancy not update?

A few things can affect updates:

• The app only refreshes when opened or during a scheduled background refresh.

• Make sure Background App Refresh is enabled in Settings.

• If Low Power Mode was on, background updates may have been paused.

Why didn’t the widget update today?

Widgets rely on iOS background refresh. If updates pause:

• Open the app once to trigger a manual refresh.

• Ensure Background App Refresh is turned on.

• Keep the app installed and do not force-quit it regularly.

Does Memento Mori use my health data?

No. The app does not access HealthKit or any other system data.

All inputs come directly from what you enter.

All calculations and suggestions happen locally on your device.

Are the habit or lifestyle suggestions medical advice?

No. Suggestions are general reflections generated locally by the app’s model and are not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified health professional for medical or mental health concerns.

Can I restore my data if I delete the app?

Not unless your phone is backed up to iCloud.

Because all information is stored locally, deleting the app permanently erases your data. If iCloud Backup is enabled, reinstalling the app on the same Apple ID may restore it.

Why does the app send notifications?

Memento Mori can send gentle reminders to reflect or log habit changes. You can turn these notifications off at any time in Settings. The app continues to function without them.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything stays on your device.

We don’t collect, track, or share any information.

There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no cloud syncing.
